Biofilm detection
Biofilms are complex communities of microorganisms that increase the availability of nutrients and protect them from the action of adverse agents. They may represent a single species or a range of different species.
Most bacterial species have the ability to form biofilms, but some genera form them more easily and rapidly than others. Biofilms are more resistant to disinfection and therefore increase the likelihood of product contamination and food-borne infections.
